Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:

• Constable (Motor Mechanic):
  • Matriculation (10th class) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • ITI in Motor Mechanic or relevant trade from a recognized institute.
• Head Constable (Motor Mechanic):
  • Matriculation (10th class) or equivalent.
  • ITI in Motor Mechanic or relevant trade.
  • Additional experience in maintaining and repairing motor vehicles is desirable.

2. Age Limit:

• 18 to 25 years (Relaxations as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

3. Physical Standards:

• For Male Candidates:
  • Height: 170 cm (General)
  • Chest: 80 cm (unexpanded), 85 cm (expanded)
  • Weight: Proportionate to height
• For Female Candidates:
  • Height: 157 cm
  • Chest and weight criteria as per ITBP norms.

Selection Process:

1. Written Examination: Objective-type questions on general knowledge, reasoning, and trade-specific knowledge (motor mechanic skills).
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must meet the prescribed physical fitness standards.
3. Trade Test/Skill Test: Practical test assessing motor mechanic skills (repair and maintenance of vehicles).
4. Medical Examination: To check fitness according to ITBP standards.
5. Document Verification: To verify eligibility and educational certificates.

2. Application Fee: As per government norms, typically a fee for General and OBC candidates, while it is usually waived for SC/ST and female candidates.

• Constable (Motor Mechanic): Level 3 (Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100 per month)
• Head Constable (Motor Mechanic): Level 4 (Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100 per month)
