CBRI Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- Junior Stenographer – 10+2/XII or equivalent with proficiency in stenography as per DOPT norms.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (General) – 10+2/XII or equivalent with proficiency in computer typing and usage per DOPT norms.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (Finance & Accounts) – 10+2/XII or equivalent with proficiency in computer typing and usage per DOPT norms.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (Stores & Purchase) – 10+2/XII or equivalent with proficiency in computer typing and usage per DOPT norms.
- Driver (Non-Tech.) – 10th class passed, possession of a valid LMV and HMV driving license, at least three years of driving experience, and knowledge of motor mechanics.
Age Limit for CBRI (As of 07.03.2025):
- Junior Stenographer – 27 years
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (General) – 28 years
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (Finance & Accounts) – 28 years
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (Stores & Purchase) – 28 years

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:
- For SC/ST applicants: 5 years
- For OBC applicants: 3 years
- For PwBD (Gen/EWS) applicants: 10 years
