 Job title :Field Investigator 

Nature of position:Field data collection, compilation and documentation.

Duration of the post:Twenty Days  

Qualifications and Experience:Post-graduate University degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, with minimum passing percentage of 50% marks in the aggregate. At least 2-3 years of experience in the development sector especially conducting research studies or working in action research projects and Good IT skills are essential. MPhil/PhD Scholars belonging to the districts listed above would be preferred. Work has to be initiated around 11th November and finished by 15th December. In States where partner institutions have identified field investigators, they would given first preference.

Salary: Rs.22500 (Lumpsum) for field work including local travel and data uploading. Travel cost for training and outstation field work if any (second class railway fare) shall be met separately.

Prayas is a field action project of the Centre for Criminology and Justice, School of Social Work, TISS. Prayas works with women, male youth and children in prisons, custodial institutions for women and children and those released from custody towards the protection of their legal rights and rehabilitation. Prayas focus is on service delivery, networking, training, research and documentation, and policy change with respect to the custodial/institutional rights and rehabilitation of socio-economically vulnerable individuals and groups. 1. Position: Para Professional Social Workers: female – 4 vacancies; male - 4 vacancies

  Education – Minimum SSC passed (preferable XII passed) with 2 to 3 years of field experience in social work.

  Basic computer knowledge

  Able to read and write English, Marathi/Hindi 

 Age – Below 35 years

  Should be willing to travel 

 Salary – Around Rs. 12000/- pm

2. Position: Social Worker (female) – 1 vacancy 

 Education – Masters in Social Work 

 Preferably 2-3 years of work experience in the field of social work, especially with women in difficult circumstances 

 Basic computer knowledge 

 Age - Below 35 years  Should be willing to travel 

 Fluency to read and write in English and Marathi/Hindi  Salary – Around 18000/- pm
