CRIS intends to recruit 20 Assistant Software Engineers for its ongoing and upcoming projects. Selection would be based on the Score obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016 conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Posting : The selected candidates could be posted at CRIS Headquarters in New Delhi or at any of the Regional Offices at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Secunderabad (Hyderabad), or any project site in India for specified duration, as per the need and requirement of CRIS.

Application Fee : Application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) + Bank charges of Rs. 69/- (Rupees Sixty Nine only) for General/OBC-NCL candidates. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates or women candidates. Mode of Selection: The GATE 2016 Score would be considered for placing the candidates in order of merit (in case two candidates have the same GATE 2016 score, then the one with the higher All India Rank would be placed higher in the order of merit; in case two candidates have the same GATE 2016 score and All India Rank, then the one with the earlier date of birth would be placed higher in the order of merit. In case of tie in date of birth also, candidate with higher marks / percentage in the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the order of merit). Selection Procedure : The selection procedure is as follows:- (a) IHQ of MoD reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off/ percentage of marks without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Nov 16 to Mar 17. (b) SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages. Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days). (c) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit depending on the number of vacancies.

Training : Training is scheduled to commence in Jun 2017 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. After training candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
