Eligibility Criteria for BHEL:
Educational Qualification:
- Engineer Trainee: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or a five-year integrated Master's degree or Dual Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Supervisor Trainee (Technical): Full-time regular Diploma in Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute with a minimum of 65% marks or equivalent CGPA (60% for SC/ST candidates).
Equivalent Qualifications for Engineer Trainee Positions:
Candidates with degrees in the following disciplines are also eligible to apply:
- Mechanical: Various allied branches such as Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Thermal Engineering, etc.
- Electrical: Includes Power Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, High Voltage Engineering, etc.
- Electronics: Includes Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Control & Instrumentation, etc.
- Civil: Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, etc.
- Chemical: Material Engineering, Ceramics Engineering, etc.
- Metallurgy: Materials Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, Foundry Technology, etc.
Age Limit for BHEL (As of 28th February 2025):
- Engineer Trainee: Maximum age of 27 years (Candidates born before 01/02/1998 are not eligible). 29 years for candidates with a two-year full-time Post Graduation in Engineering or Business Administration/Management.
- Supervisor Trainee (Technical): Maximum age of 27 years (Candidates born before 01/02/1998 are not eligible).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years

Pay Scale:
