Applications are invited for temporary or contractual posts of  Sr. Project Associate and Project Technician under the project entitled “Centre for Excellence for Flexible Electronics” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur funded by DeitY (MCIT) New Delhi.

For Senior Project Associate:

Minimum Qualification: (B.Tech + 1 year) or (M.Sc. + 1 year) 

Essential Experience: Candidate should have hands-on working experience with organic photovoltaic device fabrication, electronic material characterization such as XRD, profilometer, SEM, AFM etc. and device characterization such as electrical conductivity, CV, impedance measurements etc.

Desirable Experience: One year post M.Tech. experienced or PhD degree involving organic semiconductor device fabrication, especially the fabrication of organic solar cells, handling of glove boxes, vacuum equipment and device processing equipment will be strongly preferred.  Knowledge of solar cell reliability studies will be valuable.

Salary: Rs.18000-1800-36000/- per month based on qualification 

Duration of Appointment : 1 year contract (may be extended up to 3 years)

For Project Technician:

Minimum Qualification: - (High School + ITI+ 9 years’ experience) OR (B.Sc. + 4 years relevant experience) OR (3 years of Engg. Diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Desirable experience: Candidate should have relevant experience for ten years.  A part of the experience in an industry will be looked favourably.  Experience in one or more of the following is strongly desirable: 

• Class 10000 cleanroom maintenance
• Vacuum systems, Gas lines, CDA and DI water maintenance and repair
• Electronics equipment maintenance and repair
• Basic repairs of vacuum pumps, Furnace, and other lab equipment.

Salary: 12000-1200-24000
