Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 32 years for Scientist, 37 years for Senior Scientist, 45 years for Principal Scientist, 50 years for Senior Principal Scientist Posts as on last date. Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Education Qualification: Candidates should possess Ph.D in Physics/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology or Ph.D in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science & Engineering/ Materials Sciences & Technology/ Materials & Metallurgical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Ceramic Technology/ Chemical Engineering and Technology/ Biomedical Engineering/ Biochemical Engineering/ Biotechnology for S.No-1, ME/ M.Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering and Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Ceramic technology/ Glass and Ceramic engineering or BE/ B.Tech with advanced Diploma from AcSIR in above disciplines or Ph.D thesis in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering and Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Ceramic Technology/ Glass and Ceramic Engineering for S.No-2, ME/ M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science & Engineering/ Materials Science & Technology/ Materials & Metallurgical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Ceramic Technology/ Glass & Ceramic Engineering or BE/ B.Tech with advanced Diploma from AcSIR or Ph.D thesis in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science & Engineering/ Materials Science & Technology/ Materials & Metallurgical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Ceramic Technology/ Glass & Ceramic Engineering/ Physics/ Materials Science/ Chemistry for S.No-3 with adequate experience. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on applicants performance in Interview.

Application Fee: Applicants required to pay of Rs.100/- in the form of Demand Draft only of State Bank of India, in favor of ‘Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute’ Payable at Jadavpur University Branch, Kolkata (Code No.000093). Application fee is exempted for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-SM, Women and CSIR Employees.
