Deputy Engineer (Optics) in E-II Grade Bharat Electronics Limited, Machilipatnam Unit.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed Full time M.Sc (Tech) in Engineering Physics (Photonics) / M.Tech (Applied Optics) or equivalent qualification from AICTE approved college / institution or recognised university. General / OBC candidates should have secured first class, SC / ST / PWD candidates should have secured pass class.

Experience: 0-2 Years of post qualification experience in the relevant field is desirable. Freshers may also apply.

Job description:  Design and development of advanced optical / electro-optical systems and optimization of lens surfaces for next generation optical products to meet highly challenging customer specifications.  Carry out lens assembly design and collaborate with potential suppliers and manufactures to meet overall quality and cost requirements. 

Desired skill set: Lens design and aberration correction for optimal optical performance for given set of inputs including image quality, manufacturability, cost and aesthetics. Ability to generate optical systems and components specification from system level performance requirements.  Hands-on operational experience on optical equipment like MTF Test Setup, Interferometer and Focometer etc., Practical hands-on experience in optical modelling, simulation and using standard optical design software packages. Optical / electro-optical system prototyping and characterization.

Age: Upper age Limit is 25 years as on 01.06.2016

Pay & Benefits: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.16,400-3%- Rs.40,500/-. The selected candidates will be eligible for basic pay, dearness allowance, HRA, area allowance and 48% perks on annual basic pay. Reimbursement of medical expenses, performance related pay, group insurance as per Company rules, PF, Gratuity etc., will be part of the remuneration package.

Bond: Selected candidates have to execute a bond to serve minimum period of three years in the company or to pay a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- (Three Lakhs Rupees) to the Company. 

Place of posting: Selected candidates are liable to be posted at any Units of BEL or any Defence labs to suit operational requirements as decided by the company from time to time. 

Mode of Selection: Selection will be through written test and interview.  Call letters will be sent to the e-mail IDs of eligible candidates for attending the written test.  Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their performance in written test.  

Date of the written test will be intimated by e-mail in due course. The written test will consist of objective type questions from engineering subjects in respective discipline / specialization. 

Application Fee: Candidates belong to GEN / OBC category are required to pay the application fee of Rs.500/-. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. The application fee is non refundable.
