Staff Selection Commission

SSC will conduct an examination for Recruitment ofSub Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF on 20-3-2016 (Paper-I) & 05-06-2016 (Paper-II).

SSC SI & ASI Posts Recruitment 2016 - Post wise Details:
1. Sub Inspector (Executive) (Group ‘C’) in Delhi Police:
Pay Scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with GP of Rs. 4200.
2. Sub Inspector in CAPFs (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted):
Pay Scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with GP of Rs 4200.
3. Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF (Group ‘C’):
Pay Scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with GP of Rs. 2800.

Age Limit:
20-25 years for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF as on 01-01-2016. Upper age limit is relaxable as per extant Government orders.

How to Apply:
Candidates can apply On-line through ssconline2.gov.in.
Part-I Registration: Up to 5.00 PM on 02-02-2016,
Part-II Registration: Up to 5.00 PM on 05-02-2016.


Candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- towards application fee online through SBI net banking/ credit cards or debit cards or cash through SBI bank challan.
*Women, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation) are exempted from application fee.

Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their total marks in the Written Examination in Paper- I&II. There will be no Interview component.

Written Test:
Paper-I (Date of Examination 20-03-2016)
Part A- Reasoning 50M
Part B General Knowledge and General Awareness 50M
Part C Quantitative Aptitude 50M
Part D English Comprehension 50M

Paper-II (Date of Examination 05-06-2016)
English language & Comprehension 200 Marks.

Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts A, B and C of Paper I. Deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each incorrect answer.

Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test (PET) (For all posts):
For male candidates
a) 100 meters race in 16 seconds
b) 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
c) Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances
d) High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances
e) Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

For female candidates
a) 100 metres race in 18 seconds
b) 800 metres race in 4 minutes
c) Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.
d) High Jump : 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances.

Weight: Corresponding to height for all posts.
Medical standard (For all posts): candidates who qualify in the PET will be medically examined by the Medical Officers.
