Career Options engineering for ECE

Going for lectureship
-----------------------------------

Engineering colleges always have openings for lecturer jobs .

This have both private and government job .

Needs technical and communication skill

Time to time job . Good for girls after marriage as we can manage home and office . No much stress.

Growth - We can have good growth in this filed if we pursue our Phd slowly

Going for a government sector
------------------------------------------------

For ECE we have many government industries like ISRO , DRDO - Scientist , RRB Section engineer etc . This is particularly for those who love technical side very much . Very good for girls after marriage as this is also a time to time job . Does not include much stress

But lot of competition to get this job as this would be whole india wide

One more option is to choose IES - Indian engineering services

Most Respective job in government sector . This includes a written test for objective , descriptive and also an interview . I am not sure how far this is suitable for girls

Going for an IT job through campus selections

This job requires analytical skill .

Private job- Private itself means not secure We will be in our job till our company is in a good positions in the market. Else they might even say get lost for us :)

With respect to girls , this could be a bit difficult after marriage . Because this includes working extra hours to get our delivarables done for the day , involving stress

Working extra hours does not mean we will get extra money sometimes .

In this job we will not be applying what we studied in our engineering particularly for ECE ppl. Good news for non techies but bad news for techies :)

We will be doing coding , testing ..
Companies like TCS , Wipro etc

Growth - First we will be doing a coding stuff slowly job moves to management side

Careers Choices for Electronics and Communication Engineers

How to get hired during Campus or off Campus Recruitment ?

Placement's takes place during penultimate year or final year of the course. If you didn't get placed during campus recruitment, try to get jobs via consultancies or during off Campus recruitment. Placements are done in two stages. In the first stage there will be Aptitude Test and Technical Test. So you should be well trained in aptitude test. Technical Test will be mainly based on Electronics Circuits, Communication, Microprocessor and digital electronics . You should try out executing Microprocessor programs rather than learning from book. This helps you to get hand on experience and help you to answer questions on troubleshooting, execution methodology and program solving skills.
Based on the performance in the first stage, you will be selected to second stage. In the second stage, there will Group Discussion (GD) followed by Face to Face Technical Interview and HR Interview. In the group discussion, make sure that you are active and crisp in conveying your ideas. Please don't enforce you ideas on others during GD. Technical interview will be based on what you learned in your course. Interviewer look's for your knowledge on a topic as well as your level of confidence. HR Interview will be based on your personality.

If your are not getting placed, try for internships. Internship helps you gain experience and get paid.
